West Lothian Council funded pre-school sessions

The maximum number of hours a parent can receive in one week is 16.  The maximum number of hours a parent can receive in one day is eight, split into two sessions of four hours each.  There must be a one hour break between these two sessions which is not funded by the Council.  The Council expects one healthy snack to be given to funded children in both the morning and afternoon at no extra charge, but does not pay for lunch.

No funded hours can be delivered during holiday periods.

Parents in receipt of funded places are not entitled to more than the 600 hours.

If the parent wishes more than 600 hours, including any cover over lunchtime between two sessions, or before or after a session, or during the holidays, this is an arrangement between you and the parent, and will be on the terms you decide.

It is up to the nursery to negotiate with each parent the exact pattern of the 600 hours.  If this is morning sessions or afternoon sessions, or a mix of the two, rather than full day attendance.
